Why a Beautiful Birth Doula…
The Beautiful Birth Doulas are all trained DONA doulas. Beautiful Birth Doulas Tier 2 & up are all Certified DONA Doulas- CD(DONA).* This means both that we adhere to DONA guidelines of Scope of Practice. If you are applying for 3rd party (Insurance/Flex Benefits) Reimbursement, this is likely a requirement (for instance if you are a member of Group Health Cooperative which offers up to $200 reimbursement for use of CD(DONA) doulas.). Additionally, Emily Wright, Emily Shier, Ruby Vanderzee and Dawn Davis have all gone through the DONA postpartum doula training. Emily and Dawn both current with their certifications as CPPD(DONA). Ruby and Emily Shier are Hypnobirthing™ certified. Ruby is certified in placenta preparation. Emily, Emily, and Ruby are also recently trained in Rebozo (Mayan Labor Tool) techniques for relaxation and positioning. Emily, Emily, and Ruby are childbirth educators. Amongst the team of Beautiful Birth Doulas we have experience with myriad kinds of birth and pool our expertise at the time of your labor to do the best advocacy, and emotional, physical, and informational support for whatever your birth brings. We have supported the following kinds of birth and birth issues: • Natural Our postpartum experience and education sets us apart. In addition to the postpartum meeting in your home within the first two weeks to provide breastfeeding support and connect you to the new mother support groups abd resources in your area, we also have a six week follow-up. When you choose a Beautiful Birth Doula you are guaranteed back-up in the event of illness, unforeseen event, or if your labor requires the fresh energy of additional support. Beautiful Birth Doula Services is the only doula agency of its kind in Wisconsin. Our founder has hand-picked and mentored each of our doulas.
