Text Box: Services
1st Visit: Free Consultation
We meet at your home or the place of your choice (my home is always open) to get to know each other and see if we make a good match. I like to learn as much as you want to share about you and your partner and the vision you have for your birth experience. We discuss your pregnancy, my role, and all of your questions.

2nd Visit: Team Building
We will delve deeper into your expectations and birth plan (which I will help you design, if you like), your concerns, and building our relationship (communication styles, stressors, tolerance for touch, etc.). Other possibilities include practicing relaxation techniques and birthing positions, role playing and visualization, and watching birthing/breastfeeding/newborn videos. **In addition, I am willing (and interested) in attending a prenatal visit with Mom (and partner) to meet your care provider. This creates a rapport and continues to build our relationship as a team.

3rd Visit: Birth
The best part! The babe joins the world! All our hard work pays off! Includes the entirety of active labor and an hour or two after the birth (once you feel comfortable with Baby, breastfeeding, etc., I will vanish- this is YOUR time!).

4th Visit: Postpartum
I will visit mother/family at least once after birth. We will discuss your birth experience. It is key to embrace the highlights and even low points of your experience, and it is amazing what is remembered when different perspectives are shared. We'll also touch base on breastfeeding, infant care, and your postpartum needs.

**A birthing doula is different from a postpartum doula. While a birthing doula does meet with the mother and child post-birth, a postpartum doula actually assists the mother/couple out with the baby post-birth on a more long-term basis, does light housekeeping, and remains "on-call" for the family for an extended time.
Postpartum services are available. If interested, please inquire (note: I am not certified as a postpartum doula so if you'd prefer a certified professional, I'd be happy to refer you to a colleague).

Fees & Services

Fees

My fees include:

· 4+ visits (described above)

· my "on call" services (via cell phone) 2 weeks prior and following you due date/birth

· unlimited phone and email support

· use of my lending library (books, videos, audio tapes, yoga cards, exercise balls, etc.),

   as available

· an attempt to get some pictures of your birth and baby if you would like (note: I am not a

professional photographer, just an extra pair of hands with an artistic eye for the

miracles of birth– and with some decent digital equipment).

First visit is a no-obligation consultation and free of charge.

At second visit, half of payment is due: $300

Two weeks before expectant date, the remaining half is due: $300

** Please note that full payment is due prior to labor. You will receive a reminder from a little stork one month prior to due date. This amount can be adjusted into payments at the doula's discretion.
