“For the better part of 2 decades, I have worked with families and kids in a variety of settings. From volunteering as a house mom at a group home for pregnant teens, to supporting Big/Little matches with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I’ve always felt a sort of calling to work with families in different capacities. After having two kids of my own, I feel a pull to serve families during that vulnerable postpartum period. It’s such a special time that can often be challenging and put strains on already stressed parents.
As a stay at home mom, you can often find me hosting dance parties for our toddler and preschooler, preparing (what feels like) 100 snacks a day and cleaning up after an hour of mud play in the backyard. I certainly don’t take myself too seriously and can find humor in just about every situation. I would love to bring this lightheartedness to your home and give your family a helping hand." -Shalon
